Prior to Session: Any information such as any medical information that was not indicated on intake form(s) should be told to practitioner beforehand. Its also a good idea the day of your session (especially if receiving lymphatic drainage and/or viscera therapy) to eat light and drink a lot of water.
During the Session: Sessions take place in a private, quiet room and for any of the therapies, it is not necessary to disrobe. The only items that need to be removed would be shoes, belts, jewelry that may get in the way of the treatment. Wear comfortable clothes (preferably not jeans).
Cell phones should be turned off and talking kept to a minimum unless a part of the session. Music or white noise is fine if you choose. Let practitioner know if temperature is too cold or too warm. Your comfort is very important to us.
You will recline on a padded massage table during entire session and most of the time you will be lying face up (some therapy may be done in a seated position, face down or sideline position).
After the Session: Every client’s experience is unique. Most have felt very relaxed; some have felt light headed. Make sure you drink some water and feel grounded before leaving. If you have experienced a physical and/or emotional release during session, leave time afterwards to process what just took place. The body needs time to return to its natural balance so its important to notice that changes will occur.
Most clients sense a positive difference within 24 hours after session and some even sense improvement to continue for several days.
Important to let your practitioner know how you’re feeling once a day or two have passed. Don’t be surprised if you receive a follow up call or email back from us even if you don’t get a chance to contact us first. We care about you.
